In the 1960s he was\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eawarded the RHS’s Veitch Memorial Medal and the\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eVictoria Medal of Honour.
