Intro to Furniture Painting

Have you ever wanted to try your hand at furniture painting but have no idea where to start?! Then this class is for you! In this introductory class you'll learn the basics covering everything from sourcing a quality piece of furniture to choosing the right top coat. Here are the things we'll be covering:

• Choosing the right piece of furniture
• Cleaning your furniture
• Sanding
• Minor repairs
• Choosing the right paint 
• Do I need to prime?
• How to paint
• To top coat or not to top coat, that question will be answered!
• Sneak peak at other types of finishes you can achieve

We will be painting a thrifted wooden item so you can feel confident in honing in a new skill and be ready to paint that piece that's been waiting for you!

This class is limited to 4 people due to our shop space - this number may change in the future! 

Swag - you will received a 15% coupon to use on paint products (ie. pint or can of paint, top coats, testers, primer..that kind of stuff). Unfortunately, these coupons cannot be used on brushes or paint supplies. 

Cancellation Policy

Life happens, we get it! Let us know up to 48 hours prior to the scheduled class and will provide a refund (minus a $10 processing fee). Please use the contact us page or the following email dovetailsandlavender@gmail.com to notify us. Emails must be received 48 hours prior to class. Anything less than 48hours notice before class, a $30 cancellation fee will be incurred (plus processing fees). No shows - well you are out of luck, no refunds unfortunately.
