Intro to Milk Paint
Milk paint comprises some of the most primitive ingredients, lime, chalk, clay and casein. Milk paint is a natural, eco-friendly and sustainable paint. It's also easy to use and produces an amazingly durable finish that enhances the character of any surface.
There are several techniques you can use with milk paint, from a time worn, chippy and distressed piece, to a sophisticated buttery smooth solid colour.
In this intro to milk paint workshop, you'll learn the following:
-what is milk paint
-when and how to use milk paint
-how to mix it to get the right consistency for the look you're trying to achieve
-what tools to use
-techniques
-top coats
In this class you'll be painting a small raw wood stool. You can choose whatever technique you would like for your finish. We'll be practicing some techniques on sample boards before tackling the stool, so don't worry!
This class is 1.5 - 2 hours long - all depends on how you choose to paint your stool This class is limited to 4 people.
Swag - you will received a 15% coupon to use on paint products (ie. pint or can of paint, top coats, testers, primers..that kind of stuff). Unfortunately, these coupons cannot be used on brushes or paint supplies.
Cancellation Policy
Unfortunately, there are no refunds for classes. We can provide a store credit or assist you in getting into another class. Please use the contact us page or the following email dovetailsandlavender@gmail.com to notify us at least 48 hours before class. Emails must be received 48 hours prior to class. Anything less than 48 hours notice before class will be taken as a no show. No shows - well you are out of luck, no store credit.
